State BJP Working Committee Member Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi has resigned from the primary membership of the party while protesting that workers were ignored which led to the poll debacle.
Dwivedi is also member of Central Ayurvedic Medical Council .
Talking to reporters here, Dwivedi said that it was the ‘ego’ of the former Government which led to the party's loss in the polls.
The Government did not give any importance to party workers nor was the organisation ready to hear their voice, he said.
“The Ministers had become ‘God’ like and nowhere there was any importance given to party workers,” he said.
He said that pride was so much in the Government that no Minister even felt that they will ever lose the polls.
On Raipur (West) seat, Dwivedi said that 13 Ministers in 15 years had caused breakdown of Government.
“For Lok Sabha poll preparations, the candidates who lost in Lok Sabha
polls have been made In-charge. When there is no importance of workers within party, then why to remain in it” he said.
