On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by Cesu Paradip Division Junior Manager (Finance) Dhaneswar Sahoo, the Vigilance police raided his assets on Tuesday and traced them to the tune of Rs 2.59 crore.
His residential Government quarter at Paradip, office room at Paradip, office of ZERODHA Broking Ltd., Pragati Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, house at native village Barada, Kishan Nagar, Cuttack and house of relatives at Mangadeipur, Raghunathpur, Cuttack were simultaneously searched.
Sahoo was found to be in possession of assets worth Rs 2,58,96,813, including investments made in the National Stock Exchange of India through ZERODHA Broking Ltd. and the IIFL amounting Rs 2,14,58,660, a flat at Cuttack, two plots at Khurdha, an Alto car, a Honda Activa, deposits in different banks and post offices, gold and silver ornaments, cash and costly household articles.
