Thousands of Congress leaders and workers, including chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, PCC Chief Mohan Markam and ministers in state cabinet will be participating in the former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi’s 75th birth anniversary programme to be held in national capital on August 22.
Official sources in the Congress informed that the programme organised at the all India-level is going to be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.
To participate in the programme Chief Minister proceeded for national capital on Wednesday evening.
State Congress by organizing a meeting at state’s control room had instructed all the districts and block units, three tiered Panchayati Raj institutions, and elected members of unban bodies to be present in the programme in a large number.
The party's interim national president Sonia Gandhi, senior leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other prominent national leaders will be present during the birth anniversary programme, sources informed.
