CM Baghel tweets on issues highlighted at Intellectuals Meet

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday voiced his opinions on issues highlighted at the ‘Intellectuals Meet’ on social media platform.

In a series of tweets posted from his official handle, the Chief Minister spoke about the interest of common man in Chhattisgarh.

About the limited scope of discussion, he tweeted: “You say national security is not deliberated in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies. Both houses are mirror of the society, if we do not discuss it in society then how come parliament will debate it? Society should start discussion and ask questions.”

In a different tweet about tribal rights he wrote, “I have told officials that tribal people should be handed over their rightful land. For centuries they have kept jungle safe. They can only save forest, not you. Forest Rights Act was never implemented properly in past 13 years. We will do it.”

While advocating the need for improving the financial condition of labourers and farmers, he tweeted: “If farmers and labourers do not have money in their pockets, then no matter how good you decorate market, nothing will change. By helping few big industrialists, the ground situation cannot be changed.”

“Chhattisgarh does not need only mines, smoke and pollution. We need industry based on our minerals. We need forest produce and agriculture- based industries,” the CM expressed in different tweet posted after the Intellectuals Meet.
