CM inspects new Assembly works

Chief Minister Raghubar Das inspected the ongoing work of new Jharkhand Assembly building on Wednesday ahead of Prime Minister's visit to the State.

During the inspection he said, "Finally, the State's biggest Panchayat will get its building after 19 years of formation of Jharkhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the building on September 12 and it is a matter of pride for the 3.25 crore population of the State. We have to make this a grand programme." The CM said that the glimpses of Jharkhand's culture will be seen in the new assembly building and place has been given to the theme of Jal-Jungle-Zameen in the building.

In a meeting held with senior officials the CM said that multi model hub, the foundation stone for which was laid by the PM in Sahibgunj, will also be inaugurated on the occasion. "This will help in cheap transportation of goods through water route to not just neighbouring States but also countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar and others," he said. Das said that the PM will also launch Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojna from the State for the benefit of farmers, which is a matter of pride for Jharkhand.As many as 69 new Eklavya Vidyalayas for children of tribal and backward communities of Jharkhand will also be inaugurated by PM Modi. During the meeting das gave various directions to the officials for making the programme on September 12 a success.

The officials present in the meeting included Chief Secretary DK Tiwari, development commissioner Sukhdeo Singh, principal secretary of cabinet AP Singh, principal secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal, agriculture secretary Puja Singhal, building construction secretary Sunil Kumar and others.
