The State’s dairy development minister Dhan Singh Rawat along with MP Ajay Bhatt inaugurated the 70th general convention of Nainital dairy producers cooperation federation here on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Rawat said that the state government is taking various measures to bring about a white revolution in the state. The government is going to benefit the milk producers through DBT under the Rs four per litre dairy price encouragement scheme.
He also said that the government will set up a one lakh litre capacity modern dairy tank at Nainital dairy federation. Further, the employees of dairy cooperatives running in profit will be accorded the benefit of the seventh pay commission. The government has also decided to provide 50 paise per litre as encouragement to secretaries of dairy committees in mountainous regions. Under the chief minister Amrit Anchal scheme, 1.86 lakh children in Anganwadis will be provided Anchal milk free of cost. He also spoke about the various schemes and development plans of the state government. Speaking on the occasion Bhatt said that the state government is working to uplilf the milk producers. Top priority has been accorded to financial discipline and management in the State.
The dairy federation head Mukesh Bora and others also expressed their views on the occasion.
