Bal Samagam for school children held at the JAP-4 campus in Bokaro here on Saturday. DC Bokaro Sailesh Kumar Chaurasia was chief guest where District Education Officer Neelam Ileen Toppo, District Superintendent of Education Renuka Tigga, MLA Biranch Narayan, SDPO Jyoti Khalko and others were also present.
Around 440 students attended it from all nine blocks of the district including 8 schools of Kasturba Vidyalya. Among these children, speech contest, debate competition,essay writing, painting, group dance, dodo carate, band, self defense, high race, long race, spoon race competitions were organised. Top three winners from each school were awarded by Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan.
Speaking on the occasion Bokaro DC said that students should lead their life with the awareness of physical fitness and set ablaze the flame of sportsmanship and conveyed his blessing to the students. He discussed about the importance of sports and discipline in the life of a student.
DC appreciated the immense contribution of the school in the overall development of the students and was really hopeful to witness the students rise high in their fields. He also stressed on the importance of the sports in a students' life and explained the true meaning of education.
