Teelajamalpura police have nabbed a drug peddler near Berasia bus stand and recovered Cannabis weighing 235 gm from his possession; police have registered case and started investigation.
Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding a man carrying drugs was nabbed near Avantika Marriage Garden and when he was searched 235 gm of Cannabis was recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified as Faisal alias Chuha and he is a resident of Kabeetpura, who failed to provide details of the drugs recovered from his possession. Police said that the details of procurement and delivery of the drugs would be searched in the further investigation. After the initial investigation police have registered a case under sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act.
During the investigation police have found that the accused has been booked for attempt to murder, extortion, assault, possession on weapons illegally, theft, gambling by Teelajamalpura police. The action was taken under operation PRAHAR aiming to make state capital.
