The school society elections at the Doon University ended peacefully on Friday. The elected members of different schools would now elect the students council consisting of university President, Vice President, secretary, deputy secretary and treasurer on September 9. The under-graduate and post-graduate students of School of Environment and Natural resources, Dr Nityanand Himalayan Research and Study centre, School of Technology, School of design, School of Languages, School of social sciences, school of physical sciences, school of media and communication studies and school of management participated enthusiastically.
The voting process started at 9 am and ended at 1 pm. After counting of votes, the results were declared at 4 pm. The elected school society members were administered oath by the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) Professor H C Purohit.
