Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur on Friday directed officials to ensure that no ground water is utilised by industrial units for their processes.
Chairing the 46th meeting of Chhattisgarh State Water Resources Utilization Committee, the Chief Secretary also directed officials to take stern action against industrial units extracting ground water for industrial use.
Kujur also stressed on formation of a clear policy on usage of ground water resources.
The water from rivers be allotted to the industrial units only when the units get operational, he said.
The industrial units need to make full utilization of water allotted from rivers to them, Kujur said.
