The Vice President of State unit of Congress party, Surya Kant Dhasmana, has expressed deep anguish on the fact that the CT scan machine of Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital has not been functioning for the last six months. The congress leader visited the hospital on the day and inspected Dengue ward.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Medical Superintendent (MS) of the GDMC hospital, Dr K K Tamta.

Dhasmana said that the file for demand of Rs 6 crore for CT scan and Rs 5 crore for MRI machine is pending in finance department.
He said that the GDMC hospital is working with acute shortage of staff nurses and other technical staff. Dhasmana said that it is very sad that Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, who is MLA from Doiwala constituency of Dehradun, has remained indifferent towards the hospital.
