A five-days hi-tech digital exhibition titled 'Bapu' was inaugurated at Bokaro to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary on Wednesday at Library Ground, Sector - 5 in Bokaro. Hi-Tech Digital Exhibition based on the whole life of Mahatma Gandhi was organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with Bokaro District Administration.
A play was also performed on Champaran Satyagraha at the exhibition by the team of Vinod Kumar Mahato 'Rasleen'. The actors staged the entire event of Champaran Satyagraha along with the freedom struggle by Gandhiji through drama. In this digital exhibition, some very rare photographs related to the life span of "Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi" including his trip to Europe, meeting with Ravindra Nath Tagore, meeting with Sarojini Naidu, have been displayed. All these photographs depict some important events of the construction of modern India. While Bapu's philosophy is also being explained in a high-tech way here. A high-tech sliding LCD screen has been installed in this exhibition to show the important role of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom movement.
Officials of the Regional Public Relations and Communications Bureau, Ranchi, as well as officers of the district administration and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
