A day before Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Thursday held rallies in Jhajjar and Karnal.

The Gandhi scion will on Friday hold three public meetings in Haryana and a roadshow from Jagadhri to Karnal, which is represented by Chief Minister Manohar Lal in the State Assembly.

Manohar Lal, while addressing a rally in Matenhail, Jhajjar called upon the electorate to ensure the victory of Lotus in the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections due later this year.

“Not only Haryana the entire country wants to see Narendra Modi coming back to power in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. In this direction the Haryana BJP was working to win all the 10 seats,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made India a Super Power with the successful demonstration of anti-satellite missile test.

The anti-satellite missile test had bolstered country’s security in space besides bringing the country at par with the US, Russia and China – the only three countries to have achieved this feat earlier, he said.

The development shows that if given proper atmosphere Indians are capable of achieving anything, he said.

He further said that the country or the state neither has a credible opposition nor any issue against the ruling party.

Manohar Lal said that during the 2014 elections, the BJP not only brought a change at the Centre bus also in Haryana. The BJP converted power into service for the people and changed the administrative system of the previous government as it was in doldrums, he added.

He said that BJP government had brought about a change in all the sectors whether employment, transparency in administration, checking misuse of official machinery, worked for the upliftment of the poor, help to the farmers, welfare of the labour class and the masses.

Taking a veiled dig at INLD and JJP,  Manohar Lal said that there chashma (spectacle) has broken and now they are with chappal (slipper).

Addressing the rally Agriculture Minister Om Parkash Dhankar said that this time Rohtak will also bloom the Lotus and ensure win of BJP candidate.

He said that in the land of warriors the BJP government has ensured setting up of a Sainik School which was a long pending demand of residents of Jhajjar district.

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said that it was the BJP government that ensured implementation of One Rank One Pension – a long standing demand of ex-servicemen.
