Justice A Bose appointed SC Judge

Ranchi: Chief Justice of Jharkhand High court Justice Anirudha Bose has been appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of India. Justice Bose will take oath of office and secrecy at the Apex court on Thursday. Meanwhile Justice DN Patel of Jharkhand High Court has been appointed as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. A notification in this regard was issued by the Government of India. 

Six trains cancelled on May 26

Ranchi: The Ranchi Division of South Eastern railway due to construction of normal height sub-way in Muri has cancelled nine trains on Sunday (May 26). The trains which has been cancelled includes 13303 (Dhanbad-Ranchi Express), 13304 Ranchi-Dhanbad Express, 13319 Deoghar-Ranchi Express, 13320 ranchi Deoghar Express, 68085 Kharagpur-Ranchi Memu train, 68086 Ranchi- Khargarpur Memu train, 58034 ranchi Bokaro Steel City and others. The Railway has also rescheduled and short termination of six trains passing on the route.

JSW Cement to double production

Ranchi: JSW Cement plans to double its cement production capacity in next few years. JSW currently produces Green cement at its Salboni unit in West Bengal to service Eastern region demand. The current cement making capacity in East region is about 4MTPA. The ramp-up of cement production capacity in the region will involve a combination of brownfield expansions at Salboni unit and Shiva Cement plants and a greenfield project in Odisha. These projects are expected to be commissioned in various phases until 2023.

RRD staff in Rajdhani Express

Ranchi: Only Ranchi Railway Division staff will be deployed in Ranchi-Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express from Wednesday, May 22. These employees will take care of food, ticket checking and other facilities in the train. On Wednesday Train Superintendent MD Dutta, Deputy Superintendent AK Shrivastava, S Singh and SB Prasad have embarked on the train to Delhi. Sr DCM Avnish and Sr DE (Coordination) Amit Kanchan were present.

Hatia-Islampur Express to run late

Ranchi: Hatia-Islampur express train (train number 18624) will be delayed due to line and power block for construction of low light sub-way for five hours. The train will be run late on May 26, 30 and June 2. Due to construction of sub-way, the Hatia-Islampur express train will depart two hours late from its scheduled time 19.05. The railway has expressed regret for passengers’ inconvenience.
