HEC CMD meets Union Minister

Ranchi: CMD (Addl. Charge)/ HEC, Mridul Kumar Saxena congratulated Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Arvind Ganpat Sawant for his new assignment in a formal meeting on Monday. The CMD briefed the Minister on the milestones achieved by HEC and also threw some light on their current development work. He also discussed the work done by HEC in support of the Make in India initiative of the Government.

Athlete Florence Barla felicitated

Ranchi: Sports Minister Amar Kumar Bauri felicitated gold medalist athlete Florence Barla at Birsa Munda Football Stadium on Tuesday. She has made our country proud by winning two gold medals in the International Invitation Athletics Meet organised in Kazakhstan, the minister said. He also expressed his hopes for more gold medals in the Olympics next year.

Vanotsava held at Bermo

Ranchi: Marking World Environment Day-2019, the Bermo Forest Department along with the local villagers of Siyari to be launched ‘Vanothsava’ tomorrow, aimed at planting saplings all along the Siyari village in Nawadih block. It is proposed to plant about 5,000 saplings along the area. Vanothsava’ to be launched by forest official D.K.Srivastava, local Zila parishad Tikait Mahto and thausand villagers here by planting saplings. Ranger and Zila parishad opined that World Environment Day should be observed in a meaningful note by improving greenery. They added that the Forest Department had already planted about 6,000 saplings of neem on the stretch of divider on Dumari road.

Hungama launches ‘Boys with Toys’

Ranchi: Hungama recently launched its latest original show, ‘Boys with Toys. Ayouth comedy, the show revolves around the lives of Adi and Jiggy, both in their early 20s, who share an apartment in Mumbai and are bored with their dead-end jobs.Keen to have some adventure in their lives, the boys are overjoyed when Jiggy’s late uncle leaves behind an inheritance for them.

Expecting it to be at least a crore of rupees, the boys are surprised beyond belief to receive the inheritance in kind, in the form of sex toys. They must now figure out the utility of each sex toy and find a way to sell them to pay their bills, and in the process face wildly funny situations that turn their lives into a comic frenzy.
