In an attempt to declare the board examination results on a specified time, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will initiate the task of evaluating the answer scripts from March 28.
“Following the academic calendar, the examination conducting body will start the work of evaluating the answer scripts at the different centres under strict surveillance from March last week. Latest by May second week, the State board examination results will be declared,” said JAC Chairperson, Arvind Singh.
“As many as 68 centers have been demarcated across the State for completing the evaluation process. 36 centres is for Matric while 32 centres is for evaluating the Inter answer scripts,” added Singh.
JAC had successfully conducted the board examination from February 20 to March 9. In accordance to the data released by the Academic Council, over 7, 54,724 students from across the State took the board examination, this year.
As many as 1,200 examination centers were demarcated across the State. Approximately, 7,154 students have increased in Matric whereas in class 12, around 1,577 students have decreased, considering all the three streams. This year, 4, 39, 892 students took the Matric examination. Nearly, 3, 14, 832 students took the intermediate examination from across Jharkhand.
From Ranchi District as many as 80,000 students took the class 10 and 12 board exams. Over 130 examination centers have been demarcated here in the State Capital.
This academic year, through online mode, all examination related activities were carried out successfully. Meanwhile, considering the previous year’s record that showed a massive dip in Matric and Intermediate examinations, JAC has introduced the concept of model test paper series, multipurpose examination halls at all the five commissionaires, besides smart surveillance systems –installation of CCTV cameras at the examination centers and setting up of centralized control rooms, OMR sheets, helpline number including academic calendar.
