The Jagatsinghpur District Truck Owners’ Association bagged three prizes in different categories of decorative competition held during the Paradip Viswakarma puja, where more than 20 puja pandals were erected and decorated to attract public.
The Paradip Municipality on Sunday awarded the best pandals in three categories, i.e, outside, idol and inside and lighting decorations by judging through a panel of jury committee.
For outside decorations, the first prize was awarded to the Jagannath Truck Owners Association while the second awarded to jointly to the Dumper Owners’
Association and Jagatsinghpur District Truck Owners’ Association. The third position was bagged by the Odisha Marine Fish Producers’ Association.
In idol inside decorations, first prize was bagged by the Jagatsinghpur District Truck Owners’ Association, second was by the Paradip Truck Owners’ Association and third jointly by the Paradip Erasama Industrial Workers’ Union and Dumper Owners’ Association.
While in lighting decorations, first prize was conferred to the Jagannath Truck Owners’ Association, second was to the Jagatsinghpur District Truck Owners’ Association and third to the Odisha Marine Fish Producers’ Association. The Port Electrical Department got the discipline award.
