The Supreme Court Collegium on Saturday recommended retransfer of Justice Pramath Patnaik to the Orissa High Court from the Jharkhand High Court.
The Collegium comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices AK Sikri, SA Bobde, NV Ramana and Arun Mishra accepted Justice Patnaik’s plea for a retransfer.
“The Collegium, acceding to his request, resolves to recommend that Mr Justice Pramath Patnaik, Judge, Jharkhand High Court, be retransferred in the interest of better administration of justice to Orissa High Court,” said a communiqué issued by the Collegium.
Patnaik has been serving in the Jharkhand High Court since December 22, 2014.
