Chief Minister Kamal Nath has expressed profound grief over the demise of former Chief Minister of New Delhi and eminent Congress leader Sheila Dikshit. In his condolence message, Kamal Nath said that the contribution of Dikshit in the transformation of New Delhi in terms of maximising civic facilities will always be remembered.
Nath said that Dikshit, was known for her sensitivity towards public issues and was devoted to politics based on Gandhian philosophy and principles. She was skilled in organizing capacity. She remained committed towards development while serving the Congress for a long time.
The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear the loss.
