The Kho-Kho competition has been held on the second day of Khel Mahakumbh on Thursday. In first quarterfinal match under- 14 boys’ category, Nainital beat Almora by 7-2.
In the second quarterfinal match, Dehradun won by 7-6 after beating Bageshwar. In the girls' category under 14, the first quarter- final match was won by Nainital beating Udham Singh Nagar by 12-2. In the second quarterfinal
match, Pauri beat Tehri by 2-0 and both the teams entered the semi-final stage.
In the category under 17 boys, the first quarterfinal match was won by Nainital beating Almora by 11-3. In the second quarterfinal match, Pauri beat Haridwar by 8-7 and entered the semi-final round. In the third quarter –final match, Dehradun beat Udham Singh Nagar by 9-6. In the girl's category under 17, Dehradun beat Uttarkashi by 12-1. In the second quarterfinal round, Pithoragarh beat Udham Singh Nagar by 11-7. Nainital beat Almora by 6-2 in the third quarterfinal round and reached the semi-final round.
In the third category of boys under 19, the first quarter final match was won by Pauri beating Uttarkashi by 1/7 and entered the semi-final round. In the second quarterfinal, Haridwar beat Dehradun by 1/3.
In the girls' category under 19, Dehradun beat Haridwar by 1/6. Nainital beat Udham Singh Nagar by 1/9. Champawat beat Tehri by seven points and reached the semi-final round.
