Local scribe fired at in Giridih, escapes unhurt

A 40-year-old local daily reporter escaped unhurt after a retired ASI and his son fired at his scooty on market road near Pampu Tank late on Mondaynight.

According to reports Anjani Kumar Sinha did not suffer any injuries as the bullets got misfire.

He has registered an FIR against Mithlesh Kumar Singh and his son, and his accomplices for attempting to murder under sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as the Arms Act at town Police Station. Sinha is senior journalist and is also a known lawer.

Monday’s attack on the reporter was the fallout of a petty dispute that occurred in past over the some issues in Giridih.

“On Monday night, the cop and his son, armed with sharp weapons, assembled near market in drunken on two-wheelers to teach him a lesson where scribe was standing near sweet shop and but before they could do anything, scribe was alerted but both them fired on him.But bullets missed their target as they spend away,” said Sinha.

Later Sinha informed his elder brother and also alerted town police. Soon after police rushed to the spot and overpowered Cop and his son and recovered a gun and around 40 cartiadges from them and started its investigation.
