A 25-year-old man, citizen of Nepal, was allegedly sodomised by his roommate in Mukherjee Nargar area. The incident took place on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Police said that they have arrested the accused.
According to Vijyanta Arya, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North West district, on Wednesday, the victim, a resident of Nepal and presently working as cook in Paying Guest house in Indira Vikas Colony filed a complaint with the police.
"In his complaint he stated that on the night of 20/21, he was present in his room. At about 1.00 am his roommate and another cook in the same PG identified as Gaurav, a resident of Indira Vikas colony, came to the room in an inebriated state and forcefully committed unnatural sex with him," said the DCP.
"Following the complaint, a case under section 377 of IPC was registered and investigation was taken up. During investigation, the complaint was medically examined and accused Gaurav was arrested. He has been sent to judicial custody," said the DCP adding that further investigation is going on.
