Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silawat reviewed preparations with officers of Health Department in connection to Measles-Rubella campaign being started from January 15 in the state.
He said that the success of the campaign being conducted for vaccination of children aged between 9 months and 15 years will be ensured, when not a single child is left out during the campaign.
Besides, Silawat mentioned that parents should be made aware of benefits of Measles-Rubella vaccination.
He informed that Measles is a fatal disease, which spread through virus.
It affects several parts of the body. Similarly, Rubella is an infectious disease that also spreads through virus. It causes blindness, deafness and other fatal diseases. Measles-Rubella vaccination protects children from both these diseases. Silawat further said that people should be made aware of symptoms of diseases and benefit of vaccination so that parents could bring their children for vaccination.
Silawat stated that the campaign should be conducted with mutual cooperation of Public Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development and Education Department.
He said that along with the government departments, public representatives, social activists and parents should be linked with the campaign to ensure success.

Silawat said that the Measles-Rubella campaign is being conducted with an objective to bring down the numbers of victims to nil.
He stated that better arrangements should be made for campaign from village to state level.
