Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and actor-politician Sunny Deol, are amongst the 40 Star campaigners of the BJP for the Assembly polls in Haryana.
Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, Narendra Singh Tomar, Thaawarchand Gehlot and Anurag Thakur will also visit the State ahead of the October 21 polls for the 90 seats. Senior party leaders Shahnawaz Hussain, Anil Jain and B L Santosh will also travel to Haryana.
BJP MPs and actors Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, and Manoj Tiwari, along with MP and Sufi singer Hans Raj Hans, are scheduled to visit the state where the BJP is seeking another term in office. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur will also address meetings in Haryana.
SONIA, PRIYANKA, RAHUL AND MANMOHAN AMONGST CONG STAR CAMPAIGNERS
Congress on Friday released the names of star campaigners for the Assembly polls in Haryana on Friday. Apart from Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former president Rahul Gandhi, general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will also campaign in Haryana for 90 assembly seats.
Former Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar who had resigned from all election committees of the party on Friday but expressed his willingness continue to work as an ordinary party worker has also been included in the list of star campaigner.
Known for his witty one-liners, cricketer-turned-politican Navjot Singh Sidhu has not made it to the Haryana Congress’s star campaigner list. Haryana Congress’s star campaigner list is a mix of central and state leaders.
Chief ministers of Congress ruled states are also on the list of party’s star campaigners. Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gahlot, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath, Chhatisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda are going to campaign for the party. Newly appointed Haryana Congress president Kumari has also been included in star campaigner’s list.
Senior Congress leaders- Ghulam Nabi Azad, Salman Khurshid, Pramod Tiwari , Sunil Jakhar , PL Punia, Pawan Kumar, Ahmed Patel and Anand Sharma are also among the star campaigners. To woo the young crowd, Jyotirraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot have been included in star campaigner’s list.
