The chairman of the Reliance industries limited (RIL), Mukesh Ambani paid obeisance at sanctum sanctorum of Badrinath shrine on Saturday. The famous Industrialist and the richest person of the country arrived at Badrinath shrine on the occasion of Dhanteras and Choti Diwali. He offered prayers for about 15 minutes at the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine. Ambani offered prayers to Goddess Laxmi and Kuber, the god of wealth, at the temple. According to the information available, Ambani arrived at the shrine at around 8.50 am on the day. He was welcomed by the members of the Badrinath- Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). The chairman of the BKTC, Mohan Prasad Thapliyal said that the chairman of the Reliance Industries Limited has donated Rs one Crore each for the Badrinath shrine and Kedarnath shine.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Ambani family has an unflinching and deep devotion for Lord Badrinath. The members of the family regularly visit the shrine. Mukesh Ambani also donates generously for the shrine and provides money for the sandalwood used in the temple. In May last year, Mukesh Ambani had came to Badrinath and offered prayers.
