Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will resume her campaign in Uttar Pradesh with two rallies and a roadshow on Thursday.
She will addresses two rallies and take out a roadshow in Sultanpur, where her aunt Maneka Gandhi is pitted against Congress leader Sanjay Singh.
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Priyanka’s cousin Varun Gandhi, had contested from Sultanpur and won the seat by a huge margin. This time, Varun has swap his parliamentary seat with his mother Maneka, who had contested from Pilibhit in 2014.
According to Congress MLA Aradhana Mishra, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will campaign for Congress candidates in Pratapgarh and Jaunpur along with Sultanpur.
Mishra claimed that Priyanka would start with a public meeting in Pratapgarh at 1:30 pm in support of party candidate Ratna Singh. Ratna Singh won the seat in 2009 but lost it in 2014.
Thereafter, Priyanka will fly to Jaunpur to address her second rally of the day in support of party candidate Devvrat Mishra.
The Congress general secretary will then reach Sultanpur and participate in a roadshow from 4:30 pm in support party candidate Sanjay Singh.
