The world is going shameless and that too without any regret. With this message a comedy Hindi play ‘Besharamevjayate’ was staged here on Sunday at Shaheed Bhavan Auditorium.

Marking the grand opening of Rang-e-Shanti Theatre Festival, the play Beshramevjayate is all about the evils prevailing among the human beings that is ruining the society as well.

Directed by Tarun Dutt Pandey the play was written by Prem Janamejay and was performed by Nav Nritya Natya Sanstha, Bhopal.

It is a collage of four stories that showcases how the ill mannered men have ruined the society. Their perception and their lifestyle has made the world a fake place to live and made the genuine people lose their faith.

Besharamevjayate word is picked up from the word Satya Mev Jayate to let the people know that this word has changed among the sight of the society.

The four stories that make a collage of the play include, ‘Besharami’, ‘Yeh Jo Tension Hai’, ‘Makkhi’ and ‘Jana Hai Police Walo Ke Yahan Barat Mein’. The play begins with all the artists on stage introducing the cast and crew of the play in a unique manner. All the artists stand on the stage with barely any clothes on them (ofcourse it was a make-up technique) there is a huge cloth kept before them on which it’s written ‘Besharam-Mev-Jayate’. The set is symbolic for each story and at the background three monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi were displayed.

With this beginning the play begins with its first story ‘Besharmi’. It is the story that portrays a society where everyone wants to be a preacher and no one wants to be a follower. A teacher who teaches good thing to his students in real life is a big time corrupt being.

The second story Yeh Jo Tension Hai showcases that a section of society takes tension as a fashion statement. Whereas the third story Makkhi showcases that there are few people in the society who only lives with their selfish motives. When their motive is done they move on to another person who can fulfill their demands.

The play ends with Jana Hai Police Wale Ke Yahan Barat Mein’. This story was a satire on the behavior and style of police cops. How they behave with even guests was a satirical presentation.
