Pranvir Tejaji staged at Tribal Museum

Pranvir Tejaji in Mach Loknatya style was staged at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum on Friday.

The play was staged under the direction of Satyanarayana Barod (Ujjain). It was performed under Abhinayan series of drama.

In this theatrical performance, the artists, staged the story of Pranvir Tejaji. The play began from the birth of Tejaji to the renunciation of his body and was presented the story in a Mach Loknatya style to the audience in the museum hall.

It is believed that Tejaji was born in the Jat dynasty. In this play, the actors have told through acting medium how they were born after worshiping the serpent god and then it came to know that at the age of 20, Tejaji has two months of life and life in Bhadon.

But when Tejaji turned 20, he went to take his wife in the same months. So on the way, Nagraj stopped Tejaji's promise to complete the curse by stopping the path. Finally, after completing his work, Tejaji again came to Bambi, tied to the promise and snatched his tongue from the Nag Devta and sacrificed his body.

In this way the folk god Tejaji became immortal. The time limit of this play was about 1 hour 30 minutes. Tejaji is worshiped as a folk deity. Their festival is celebrated with great pomp on the Sudi 10th in the month of Bhadon.

During the theatrical performance, Mangilal Ji Haraud, Satyanarayana Barod, Suresh Barod, Gopal Barod, Manoj Parmar, Kailash Chandra Barod, Mangilal, Bhajan Singh, Balaram, Sevaram Malviya, Shyam Dayal and Dayaram Goyal enchanted the audience with their dances.

During the presentation, Kanyadas Bairagi accompanied the artists on harmonium and Suresh on dholak. This theatrical performance was directed by Satyanarayana Barod.

Satyanarayana Baroda has been associated with the field of Rang Karma for many years. Satyanarayana Barod has directed many productions as well as acted.
