Quality Control of India and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised its 6th regional Quality Conclave (QC) on Friday on the theme of “Creating and Sustaining a Quality Culture.”
The speakers said on “Quality Culture to enhance performance, Continuous Improvement and Innovation Management, Achieving ‘Zero Downtime’– Enabling Predictive Maintenance for Prescriptive Maintenance” respectively.
Inaugurating the conclave Additional Director General, UIDAI, Deo Shanker said, “Conclave is a platform to share and gain from experts and participants. Quality begins and ends with the individual. Quality people do quality work. In short quality is the expression of human excellence. So always focus on quality.”
Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, HEC Ltd, MK Saxena, said, “I am thankful to QCI and PHDCCI for organising the QC in Ranchi.” He highlighted the importance of sustainability. Saxena emphasised on the importance of sustainability and regular improvement in the quality of services and products through a competent research and development department that will help in maintaining relations with the customers.
Addressing the gathering, CEO National Board for Quality Promotion, CK Biswas, said “Main purpose of organising this Conclave in Ranchi is that we want to make people of this region aware about the importance of quality. Invest in quality; you will be duly rewarded in the long run. Never compromise with the quality.”
Speaking on the occasion Director, PHDCCI, Dr Jatinder Singh, said “The rationale of this conclave is to sensitize industry, particularly manufacturing sector to invoke quality culture throughout the organisation. This will be possible if quality ecosystem is pervasive and all employees, right from top management to the customers, are integrated in the quality system.”
Sessions of the Conclave were addressed by Executive Director, SAIL, Kamakshi Raman, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Raman K Jha, Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board, Mahendra Kumar Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand University of Technology, Professor Gopal Pathak and others.
