Chhattisgarh Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s argument that by calling him “thief”, Congress president Rahul Gandhi defamed the entire ‘Sahu’ community to which Modi belongs.
The minister said the guilt of one person could not be labeled to an entire community.
In a statement, the powerful OBC leader of the state said, “May be ‘Modis’ in Gujarat and Sahus in Chhattisgarh are identical community, but just because wrong doing of one person from the community is being criticised, it does not automatically mean criticism of the entire community.”
Whatever allegations the Congress President Rahul Gandhi had leveled was not directed towards the entire Modi community of Gujarat or Sahu community of Chhattisgarh, he added.
