The Odisha Retired Diploma Engineers’ Association held its extended executive council meeting in the Ram Mandir premises here on Tuesday.
Association president Bipin Bihari Nayak presided over the meeting. Sarada Prasad Mohanty was greeted on his 80th birthday. A one-minute silence was observed in memory of Dr Banabasi Patnaik. General secretary Bamadeba Tripathy presented annual report. The association decided to hold annual meeting on February 23, 2020. Association vice-president Dambarudhar Kabi, Ganjam president Banchchanidhi Das, Cuttack VP Dr Sushisl Moahaptra, Kendrapada secretary Krushna Chandra Sahoo, Jajpur president Batakurshna Behera, Bhadrak’s Madhab Mohanty, Baleswar secretary Sarojkant Chand and Baripada’s Jagadish Behera were present.
Members demanded that the Government provide health assistance for retired engineers. ‘Abarsara Barta’ was released. Sarada Prasad Mohanty and Madhab Chandra Mohanty were given the charge of electoral officers for the coming election of the association.
