nAAP MLA Sanjay Singh and former Member of Parliament (MP) Sharad Yadav met the Delhi Commission for Woman (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal to pay solidarity with her protest against the increasing number of rapes across the country and sought justice for the Unnao rape victim who succumbed to her burnt injuries on Saturday.
Paying condolences to the Unnao rape victim, former MP Shrad Yadav said, "Maliwal always did a wonderful job for woman safety and always fought for woman rights, safety and security. We have lost another daughter today but the Central Government is sitting mute and deaf without taking any action," said Yadav.
While AAP MLA Sanjay Singh said, "We are with Swati ji. AAP will also request other parties to join them and will submit memorandum and stage a protest and put pressure on Centre to take immediate action against the rapist on Monday."
