SSP leads drive to clean Ganga riverbed

An effort to clean the Ganga riverbed in Haridwar was held in the presence of the district’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Senthil Avoodai K Raj S, at Birla Ghat. Various police officers from the district ,including the superintendents of police(City and Rural), along with inspectors and sub inspector of police stations, also participated in the effort. The SSP said that the importance of cleanliness has been highlighted and that the initiation of different campaigns to achieve cleanliness has also been appreciated. He also stressed on the importance of saving natural resources in the interests of society.

Leading the cleaning effort, the SSP collected garbage from the edge of the Ganga riverbed. Members of voluntary organisation, Mranali, also participated in the effort following which the collected garbage was sent for proper disposal.

 City SP, Kamlesh Upadhyay, rural SP, Navneet Bhullar, CO, city, Abhay Pratap Singh, and other police officials were also among those who participated in this effort.
