After the complaint of rape filed by the parents of a first year student studying in a private college at Premnagar, local police have registered the case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused senior student is reported to be at large as of now. According to the information provided by the police, on Wednesday, the parents of victim filed a complaint at Premnagar police station stating that their daughter is student at a private college.
On the midnight of August 26, a friend of hers gave her narcotic substance and then raped her. The accused in this case is absconding from his residence and from college. Local police are searching for him.
