TPC rebel held in Garhwa

Banshidbar Nagar police have arrested one Area Commander, of Tritiya Prastooti Committee (TPC), Manoj Singh Kharwar, at Tulsidamar under Bhawnathpur police station, on Tuesday. Police also recovered a country made carbine and two live cartridges from him.

Sub-divisional police officer Neeraj Kumar said that based on a tip off police held a vehicles checking drive where, after seeing the police one person ran away and hid in a bush. The police surrounded him and nabbed.

Manoj is involved in several naxal violence incidents. He was involved in a police encounter on May 18 last year in Chhatarpur in Palamu district, burning Biri leaves in Husaru village of Arasli etc, the SDPO informed. He was staying in a village in Sonbdadra district of Uttar Pradesh, the SDPO added.
