The UT Estate Office has begun the e-auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in the city.

Under this, 11 residential sites (freehold basis), 14 commercial sites (leasehold basis) and one industrial site (leasehold basis) are proposed to be auctioned.

The reserve price of the property has been fixed on the basis of the collector rate of the area.

Most of the residential plots to be auctioned are situated in southern sectors including 37, 38 and 40. The reserve price varies between Rs 1.25 crore to Rs 7.53 crore depending on the plot size and location. A residential plot in Sector 33 is the costliest.

As far as commercial properties are concerned, most of them are in southern sectors including 39, 42 and 44.  The reserve price of these properties which include booths and shop-cum-offices (SCOs) starts at 61.35 lakh.
