Shahpura police have nabbed a vehicle lifter and recovered 8 stolen vehicles from his possession hidden at two different places; vehicle lifter was nabbed from Ishwar Nagar while he was trying to sell motorbike.

According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding two persons trying to sell motorbike at Ishwar Nagar a police team reached the spot and after spotting police on the man escaped the spot while other was detained and when he asked regarding the documents of the bike he failed to provide the documents and confessed stealing of bike from Hanumanganj along the escaped miscreant.

Later, in the investigation nabbed accused provided name of the absconding accused as Prem Gurjar and revealed that they have stolen and kept 4 motorbikes at Sunkhed and 3 are in Ahmedpur. Based on the details provided by the nabbed accused police have recovered 8 bikes from their possession.

Police have registered a case under section 41(1-4) of the IPC and 376 of the IPC.

The vehicles were stolen from Hanumanganj, Shymala Hills and Taliaya police station areas while areas of few of the stolen vehicles are yet to be found. One of the motorbikes was without registration number details of which are under investigation. 

Police said that the number of other vehicles stolen and burglaries committed by the accused would be investigated. In the investigation Raja has revealed that Prem has sold few more bikes which were stolen by them and he could provide details of the sold bikes.
