Accompanied by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, 5T Secretary VK Pandian along with NRHM Director Shalini Pandit visited the Bhima Bhoi Medical College Hospital (MCH) here on Thursday.
Besides the Mother and Child Healthcare unit, Pandian also visited some other wards of the hospital and interacted with patients and hospital official briefly.
“We received the Chief Secretary, the 5T Secretary and the NRHM Director at the Tusura Airstrip,30 km from here in the morning. They visited the MCH and interacted with patients. The team also visited some other wards.
Later, in the Conference Hall of NRHM, a brief discussion was held with doctors. A new building would come up, which would ease the problem of bed shortage in the hospital,” said district Collector Arindum Dakua to reporters at the hospital.
Pandian was the major attraction for mediapersonnel, who scrambled to get a photographs and video clips of his. As the officials’ team moved fast from one ward to another, the journalists had to keep quick pace with them to take photos, leaving one of the scribes to fall down.
