Dr Tirupati Panigrahi, who unsuccessfully contested from the Paralakhemundi Assembly constituency as an Independent candidate, has said he would continue to be in politics to serve people and work for development of the Paralakhemundi Assembly constituency and Gajapati district.
“My political career is not limited to a win or a loss in an election. Losing an election is not an end to politics,” Panigrahi told a Press conference here. He said people of the constituency have all love and trust on him which was evident from the fact that he emerged second in the poll race.
“The Congress had assured me to give a ticket. Thus, I moved in a procession of supporters with party flags and filed my nominations papers. But later, the party didn’t me give the ticket and I was forced to fight as an Independent candidate. Still, people voted me to the second position,” he pointed out.
