Woman robbed of mobile phone near Sai Baba temple

A 29-year-old woman was robbed of her mobile phone by two bike-borne miscreants near Sai Baba temple under Teelajamalpura police station area in the evening on Tuesday.

Police said that the victim Sujata Jaiswal was robbed while she was on her way to home walking after work and when she left school and started to walk she was attacked and robbed by two bike borne miscreants.

The victims in her complaint stated that she was walking towards home and was talking over phone when two bike borne miscreants appeared snatched her mobile phone and escaped the spot. She raised alert but all in vain as the miscreants escaped speedily.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and started search for the accused.

The victim works with a private school and after work at around 5 pm she left for house and was robbed near her school. Police said that the victim failed to notice the registration number of the bike.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old youth was robbed of gold chain, mobile phone and Rs 2,000 at BHEL Quarters under Piplani police station area in the evening on Tuesday. The victim Arvind Panikar was robbed by two miscreants while he was on his way to market in the evening on Tuesday.

The victim stated that he was on his way to market to buy mobile phone accessories at around 7.30 pm when two men asked for address and when he stopped, they snatched gold chain and pushed him and later snatched his mobile phone and Rs 2,000 form his possession.
