XIMB meet on ‘Innovating Business’ begins

A three-day Business Excellence Summit on the ‘Innovating Business’  by the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) began here on Friday.

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Tata Steel TQM and Steel Business President Anand Sen, Xavier University Vice-Chancellor Antony Uvari SJ, Registrar EA Augustine and Academic Dean Dr Shridhar Kumar Dash graced the inaugural event as guests.

Focusing on the theme of the summit Tripathy said, “Unless you have empathy for the people at the bottom of the pyramid, it doesn’t make good business sense.”

Sen spoke what market leaders do in tough times that make them better than the rest. He emphasised how important it is for organisations to focus not just on the profits, but to cater to the needs of all the stakeholders with a view on sustainable growth with a focus on cross functional management.

On the penultimate day, a panel discussion on “Invest, Innovate and Integrate” with various co-founders and CEOs of CDS Development Centre LLP, BiziBean, Sequioa Fitness and Sports Technology, Lenovo shall take centre-stage during the morning session.

An analytics workshop on "Delivering Proposition through Analytics" by L&T Financial Services Analytics Head Ashesh Kumar will be conducted.

The final day shall commence with a leadership talk by The Thickshake Factory co-founder Yeshwanth Nag followed by a panel discussion on the burning question “Is Disruptive Innovation the only way to create value?”.

UTI Mutual Funds EVP Siddharth Dash will deliver a leadership talk that would be followed by DXC Technologies Director Sabyasachi Das on “How to Tame Automation Sprawl?".
