LKA remembers Gandhi with an Art Exhibition

Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, and highlighting his principles of non-violence and peace, the Lalit Kala Akademi (LKA) organised an art exhibition titled—‘Mahatma Gandhi and World Peace' at the Lalit Kala Akademi Art Galleries of Rabindra Bhawan, in New Delhi. The Union Minister of Culture, Dr Mahesh Sharma, inaugurated the show in the presence of LKA chairman Uttam Pacharne, joint secretary of Ministry of Culture, Nirupama Kotru and the secretary of LKA, Rajan Shripad Fulari. The show has been organised in association with Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai. Over 75 artworks by 75 artists have been put on display in this exhibition.

PDIL celebrates 70th Republic Day

The Projects and Development India Limited (PDIL), a Mini Ratna Category-I Engineering Consultancy PSU, under the Department of Fertilisers (DOF), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, celebrated the 70th Republic Day at its Corporate Office at Noida where the PDIL's chairman and managing director, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, unfurled the national flag and paid tribute to the martyrs of the nation. He expressed his happiness on PDIL achieving business orders worth Rs 110.43 crore, surpassing the order booking target of Rs 110 crore for 2018-19 in nine months and obtaining the ‘Very Good' MoU Rating for 2017-18.

SAIL organises Foundation Day Walk & Run

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) organised a ‘walk and run' to celebrate its foundation day, recently. The event saw a huge participation from the SAIL fraternity and various stakeholders of the company. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of SAIL, Anil Kumar Chaudhary said that keeping fit is essential to perform every other duty well. Further, he said that SAIL is committed to fulfill its commitment of supply steel to every core sector of the nation. The company has been serving as a steel maker of India and has been partnering in the country's growth so far, and will continue to do so in future as well.

PNB conducts cleanliness drive in delhi

The Punjab National Bank recently organised a cleanliness drive at its Dwarka Headquarters in New Delhi during the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-Swachhata Pakhwada 2019. The drive was led by the managing director and CEO of PNB, Sunil Mehta. On the occasion, the executive director of PNB, Agyey Kumar Azad and several general managers and other senior officials also participated in the cleanliness drive.

NB Gupta wins Leaders and Business Excellence Award

NB Gupta, Director (Finance), Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has won a prestigious award in the 12th ICAI's 'Leaders and Business Excellence Awards' for his dynamic and outstanding leadership. Gupta received the award from the Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics and Programme Implementation, Vijay Goel, held recently in Mumbai. He was declared the winner in the category, 'CA CFO-Public Sector' by a jury under chairmanship of the vice chairman and CEO of HDFC, Keki Mistry.

SCOPE and PSEs organise lecture on Mahatma Gandhi

The SCOPE Gandhian Forum for Ethical Corporate Governance organised a lecture session on ‘Mahatma Gandhi and Transformational Leadership' to commemorate the 71st Martyr's Day at the SCOPE premises. The chairman of SCOPE and CMD, MMTC, Ved Prakash, the director general of SCOPE, Dr UD Choubey, and eminent Gandhian, Shobhana Radhakrishna, addressed the august gathering. On the occasion, dignitaries released a special issue of the Kaleidoscope Journal on ‘Gandhian Philosophy on Governance and Ethical Practices in CPSEs'.

NBCC to redevelop WHO-SEARO building in Delhi

The NBCC (India) Limited entered into a tripartite memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the World Health Organisation-SEARO for the redevelopment of the WHO-SEARO building in New Delhi at a cost of Rs 228 crore. The MoA was signed in the presence of JP Nadda, Union Minister of MoHFW, among Preeti Sudan, Secretary, MoHFW; Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director WHO-SEARO and Rajendra Chaudhari, Director (Commercial), NBCC (I) Ltd. Another bipartite agreement was signed between Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary (International Health), MoHFW and the Director (Commercial), NBCC.
