Badshah to make his acting debut
Rapper Badshah is set to make his acting debut in a film, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma and Annu Kapoor. He says he is extremely nervous but will give it his best.
Directed by debutant Shilpi Dasgupta, the film is a slice of life entertainer.
“I am extremely nervous. However, now that I have taken the leap, I will give it my best. It’s a film which is so unique and different,” Badshah said without revealing much about his role.
The film also features Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Nadira Babbar.
‘It is truly gratifying to be accepted as a Hip Hop artist. I was thrilled to be in Zoya’s film because I had always wanted to do such a film. I have a natural, in-born affinity towards hip-hop. I loved this genre of music since I was a kid and I would have been heartbroken if I didn’t do Gully Boy. I have given my heart and soul in the film and I hope the audience loves the film.’

Producer Boney Kapoor has taken the rights of Egyptian drama Hepta: The Last Lecture to remake the film in Hindi and other languages in India.
The film will be produced by Kapoor’s Bayview Projects and co-produced by Fresh Lime Films.
Based on Mohamed Sadek’s best-selling book, Hepta..., directed by Hadi El Bagoury, revolves around the seven stages of love.
Kapoor said, “India and Egypt have been strongly influencing each other’s culture, arts and architecture since ancient times.”
Melissa and Chris engaged
Actress Melissa Benoist has got engaged to her Supergirl co-actor Chris Wood.
The duo took to Instagram to announce the news of their engagement.
“Yes yes yes it will always be yes,” Benoist captioned a photograph of Wood kissing her on the cheek, with her engagement ring on full display.
Wood shared the same photograph and wrote — “The happiest.”
They both met on the set of TV series Supergirl, in which Benoist stars as the lead character.
The 30-year-old actress was previously married to Glee star Blake Jenner. But due to irreconcilable differences, she filed for divorce in 2016 and officially got separated from him in 2017.
