The Koraput Collector on Saturday announced lockdown in the entire district for a period of 14 days with immediate effect after 46 Covid-19 cases were reported in the district in the last 24 hours.
Functioning of all commercial establishments, vehicular movements, non-essential services were disallowed. However, shops of essential commodities would remain open from 5 am to 1 pm.
The district has so far reported 817 Covid-19 positive cases, of which 555 are active. However, no fatality due to the virus has been reported by now.
