Ranka police arrested two accused in connection of allegedly raping a 17-year-old and a 15 year old girl. The girls were raped in a village under Ranka police station limit.
According to police, on November 15 at around 10 pm the both cousin sisters had gone to a call of nature to the nearby fields, when the two allegedly took them to nearby forest and separately raped for four hours.
“Based on a complaint filed by the victims, a case under section 341, 376 (3), 506 IPC and 4 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act registered at Ranka police station,” said police station in charge Pankaj Tiwari.
After registering FIR police victims were sent to Garhwa hospital for medical examination and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
“We arrested both accused Arbind and Deepak on Friday and sent them to judicial custody on Saturday after Covid-19 test,” said the PS in charge .
