Fuelled over old enmity a 22-year-old man was attacked by miscreant with sharp-edged weapon at Shivaji Ward under Gandhi Nagar police station late in the night on Sunday.
According to the police, the victim Piyush Bhusar, was attacked by miscreant Tanu with a sharp-edged weapon. The injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was reportedly stable.
In the initial investigation, it was found that Piyush and Tanu had old enmity over catching of pigs and the two had a fight in the night on Sunday in which Tanu attacked Piyush with sharp edged weapon in his stomach and escaped the spot.
In charge of Gandhi Nagar police station SS Sengar said that the two are involved in pig catching. The victim was attacked by Tanu and his aides but as victim was not in a stated to record statement the details of others could not be revealed.
The victim lodged a complaint with Gandhi Nagar Nagar police and based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case agasint the accused and have started further investigation. The accused is yet to be arrested.
Crime record of the accused would be investigated. The accused and the victim are resident of the same area. Few places were raided in search of the accused but failed to find the accused. The family and friends of the accused would be questioned to determine the whereabouts of the absconding accused.
