A 38-year-old man died who got injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck near Essar petrol pump under Parwalia police station area late in the evening on May 17. His 30-year-old brother-in-law died at the spot after the accident.

According to the police, two men who were injured after their motorbike was hit by a truck were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of them was declared dead while the condition of the other injured was critical and later he died on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Awinash Batham while Arvind Raikwar died on the spot after the accident.

Police said that the accident took place when the errant truck driver was speeding from wrong side and the bikers failed to save themselves from the truck and collided head on.

After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post mortem. The police registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and  started further investigation to search for the errant truck driver who escaped after leaving the truck. Later, the police seized the truck.

 Meanwhile, a 17-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in BDA Colony under Awadhpuri police station area on Thursday.

Police said that the deceased, Suraj Jharia, committed suicide at his house. In the initial investigation, the family members told police that the deceased had left studies after class 8 and used to stay at home.

On Thursday, the deceased was found hanging at around 5.30 by the family members..

Later, the body was sent for  post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police  registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.

The family members were aware of the reason behind the suicide.

The deceased had not left any suicide note which could help in investigation. The reason would be investigated.
