"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted a multipronged approach to combat the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. With a holistic approach, he wants to revamp all the sectors while he has announced Atma Nirbhar scheme with a Rs 20 lakh-crore package," said Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi in a Press meet here on Sunday.
Fishing while has been one of the prime livelihoods of the people, he, besides stressing that a fishing harbor would be built near Balarmgadi, also said that things were underway to build two world class fish markets with export facilities, one at Jaleswar and another near Sergarh. He also said that in order to tap the potentials of the indigenous artisans involved in weaving, pottery, coconut coir etc, his ministry had provided subsidized electrical driven tools and implements and further value additions of products and marketing.
For promoting honey production, the beekeeping boxes have been provided in the potential patches to the farmers, he added.
He also mentioned that he would be providing a mobile ambulance and mobile Corona testing unit in Baleswar.
For providing hot, cold and normal water, the Union Minister said such water ATMs would be installed at various required places under his initiatives.
