Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders staged a daylong Dharna in Dhanbad on Sunday in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation and crimes against women.
Dhanbad MP PN Singh took part in the dharna organised by the BJP Mahanagar Committee at Randhir Verma Square. Nirsa MLA Aparna Sengupta was seen in a protest staged at Govindpur by the BJP Rural committee.
Singh attacked the Government for its alleged failure in tackling the law and order problem of State. Crime against girls and women has increased besides murder , theft and burglaries . Senior party leaders including Hari prakash Lata, former Mayor Chandrasekhar Agarwal,district president Chandrasekhar Singh besides host of leaders from frontal organisations took part here. The BJP leaders said the last nine months were one of the worst from the perspective of law and order.
Addressing people at Govindpur, MLA Aparna Sengupta demanded justice for the rape and murder victims. District rural committee president GR Sinha , BJP Kisan Morcha president Balram.Sahu besides others were present during the dharna here.
