Aiming to strengthen the outfit in west UP, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati revoked the suspension of 18 leaders of Agra and Aligarh divisions on Monday.
Action against these leaders was initiateed for anti-party activities during the 2019 parliamentary polls.
Interestingly, Dr Bhartendu Arun of Agra division has been taken back into the party fold for a fourth time in the last 18 months after being expelled for going against the party line.
BSP sector in-charge of Agra-Aligarh division, Gore Lal Jatav, said on Monday that the expulsions of these 18 leaders were revoked on directions of the BSP chief.
He said the leaders include Dr Bhartendu Arun, Vikram Singh of Agra, Hemant Pratap Singh and Dr Gyan Singh of Firozabad, Prem Chand Kardam, Indrejeet Singh, Preetam Singh, Shyam Sunder Kardam, Ramveer Singh, Hari Om of Mathura, Akhilesh Dinkar, Nem Singh Rajput from Etah, JP Nagar of Hathras, Gajraj Singh, Vimal, Tej Singh, Ratandeep Singh of Aligarh and Raj Kumar Jatav of Kasganj district.
Jatav said that all these leaders met the BSP chief and assured her of working together to strengthen the outfit in western UP and ensure the BSP’s comeback to power in the 2022 Assembly poll.
